Our Story
Based in the North of England in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, Littlewoods Joinery Ltd have established an excellent reputation within the construction industry. Our experience and expertise enable us to deliver high quality work in a timely manner to our customers. We have worked on many projects nationwide in a multitude of sectors including educational, medical, military, retail, office, residential and many more.
Here at Littlewoods we specialise in bespoke joinery supply and installation including Doorsets & Fire Doorsets, Windows, Acoustic Panelling, Stairs, Fitted Furniture and Hardwood Flooring however the list does not stop there. Our staff employ the necessary creative ingenuity that is required to deliver superior results that exceed expectations consistently. We strive to do what is right and do what we say we will do. Our behaviour is modelled around integrity, one of our principle core values that we strive to employ.
History
Littlewoods Joinery Ltd has a long history in the local region that dates back to the early 1930s. The initial company was founded in 1932 by the late Albert Littlewood. The business was initially setup to service and maintain the local textile mills and factory machinery, the business operated in this fashion until 1964. In 1964 the business was purchased and the name was changed to ‘Littlewoods Successors Ltd’. During this period, the primary business function became joinery supply and installation. The business continued to operate primarily in the commercial side of the construction industry for another 43 years.
Present Day
In 2007, ‘Littlewoods Successors Ltd’ was taken over by Mr. R Shaw. This is the point in time which the business here today was established. In 2007, ‘Littlewoods Successors Ltd’ became ‘Littlewoods Joinery Ltd’ where our primary business function has remained the same now for 56 years.
